I think it's time we tried another East Mids meet up. I've missed the last 2 so 3rd time lucky!!

Anyone else up for it?

Melton would be good for me. I can get a train direct from Birmingham smile

I should have said Leicester or Loughborough would work better ...

Scribbles Mon 03-Sept-18 19:27:50

A bit of a faff by train but I might make it. Leicester would work better....

Melton might work for me. Train with a change at Peterborough.

first poster here in Notts area - Melton would be good for me too!

Melton is straightforward for me too, sounds a great idea

Fine by me!

How about Melton Mowbray - it has a mainline station and a reasonable hotel with well priced home made food within spitting distance (sorry not a nice image but very close). Car park close as well.

MH is lovely isn't it! And we all love Foxton. DD3 lives quite near so we go quite often.

I might be up for another East Mids meet up, depending where or when. Keep us posted!

Hi carenzall23. I am new to this forum but would love to meet up for lunch if one could be arranged.

silverlining48 Mon 03-Sept-18 12:58:14

Just to say we returned from our trip to MH on Friday. What a pleasant town with such friendly people. We had a great time and enjoyed our meals (Ascoffs) and ice creams near the library and cakes everywhere, g and t’s in The Angel as well as visiting the marina to enjoy the narrow boats plus trip out to foxton lock. What’s more the sun shone every day.
Ps the g and t’s came after the lock visit.

Hi carenzall23 yes, I’d be very happy to meet up for lunch or coffee.

Did you set the world to right ladies?

Lovely photo and pleasing to know you shared a good meet up , even for those who were not there it is pleasing to see others enjoying good friendship .

The spirit of Gransnet and the people who make it work so well on display!

Hello carenzal123 Oh yes I love a lunch!

Carenza123 Mon 03-Sept-18 08:00:36

Hi ladies! I am moving to Castle Donington, Derbyshire, and wondered if any Gransnetters would like to meet up? Or I would be willing to join in with anything organised in the future.

harrigran Thu 26-Jul-18 10:33:00

Lovely photo ladies smile

MawBroon Thu 26-Jul-18 10:29:13

Fear not Scribbles I’d have rescued you from the cheesecake gringrin
Sorry not to have met you.

Scribbles Thu 26-Jul-18 10:11:42

So sorry I couldn't be there after all but, after a sleepless night, I might have fallen asleep on the train and been carried off to St Pancras or, more likely, zonked out face down in the cheesecake. With luck, this horrible, debilitating weather will be long over by the time of the next meeting and I aim to be there! Glad it was a good day, anyway.?

JaneD3 Thu 26-Jul-18 08:47:42
