Hoping to find other grandparents who have SGOs....

My husband and I have had a Special Guardianship Order of our 12 year old grandson since 2015 and I gave up work to look after him full time. I’m hoping to make friends with others in a similar situation for support and advice as it’s a lonely journey and we don’t get any family support. I live near Watford in Hertfordshire. Hoping to hear from some of you x

Look up Kinshipcarers.co.uk which offers support to people looking after relative's children.

I think this is another area that social services are supposed to help you with, Moira. Finding groups and support in your area.
I hope you can make contact with people in the same situation who are close to your area.
Such a shame I'm too far away.

MissAdventure - Social Services dropped us as soon as we got the SGO! They just left us to it ?
