I think it is time for another meet up, as it has been a while?

Anyone interested sometime in July or August?

GrannyBeek Wed 28-Aug-19 18:28:56

Thanks, both, for your company yesterday. I really enjoyed it. Hope you had a good day with GD, Deedi.

Blinko Tue 27-Aug-19 21:09:49

It was great to meet you both. I very much enjoyed our chat. Looking forward to next time. cupcake cafe Hope we can make it again before Christmas.

Deedi Tue 27-Aug-19 19:26:36

Hi Blinko and Grannybeek enjoyed meeting you both. I had a wander round B'ham after we parted as its been ages since I last visited the city. I'll be doing it again tomorrow with youngest granddaughter (her suggestion)!
Hope to see you both again at the next cafe meetup!
smile

This is what I am wearing. See you soon.

Blinko Tue 27-Aug-19 06:31:17

No worries, GB you've posted a pic! See you later then.

GrannyBeek Mon 26-Aug-19 20:34:56

I’m afraid I have no idea what I’ll be wearing tomorrow. I’ll try and remember to post here when I get dressed.

Blinko Mon 26-Aug-19 19:33:28

Sorry you can't be there, DoraMarr.. Hope to meet you irl sometime.

See you tomorrow, then, GrannyBeek and Deedi*.

DoraMarr Mon 26-Aug-19 15:44:39

Oh dear! Now I’m not going to be able to make it! Perhaps next time.

Deedi Mon 26-Aug-19 12:56:36

Hi everyone I’ve decided I’ll be wearing white top/beige linen jacket (not sure you need to know it’s linen!?)tan cropped trousers. I’ve got short hair - with highlights which blend the grey! Sorry haven’t got a clue about posting a pic. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Blinko Mon 26-Aug-19 12:26:22

I'll be wearing a cerise top and trousers, possibly with grey cardi if tomorrow's temperature is a lot cooler.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. smile

To confirm, as a couple of possible venues were in the frame, 11am Tuesday 27th John Lewis cafe. Looking forward to it.

Blinko Thu 22-Aug-19 21:37:16

Ok, in addition to the GN card, this is me. I'll post again on Monday to give some idea what I'll be wearing. Good idea, Deedi.

Ah, Granny Beek re the face paintings, go on, you know you want to...

I think that could be three of us plus hopefully, DoraMarr. And of course anyone else who finds themselves free on Tuesday next.

GrannyBeek Tue 20-Aug-19 23:21:15

I’m still up for 27th. Here is a photo of me, but I won’t be sporting the face painting!

Deedi Tue 20-Aug-19 20:48:28

Hi Blinko I'm looking forward to meeting you and other GN on 27th. I like the idea of the laminated card and I'll look out for it - so if you see a female walking slower than usual and peering at each table it might well be me! Shall I PM you on Mon to confirm the meetup is happening and, what I will be wearing? Hope that's ok with you?

Blinko Tue 20-Aug-19 19:46:33

Ah, looks like I could be only 'old stager' at this gathering on 27th. I'm happy to go ahead if others are. I would suggest though, that we agree something by which we can recognize each other. At a past meeting, someone was missed (and miffed) because we didn't know what she looked like nor she we, IYCWIM.

I do have a laminated card with GN on it...

My Partner has booked a surprise break away this Bank Holiday weekend in Devon. We travel back on Tuesday 27th, but I cannot see me being back in time!

Please do not cancel I am really sorry to miss this as I started the thread! Hopefully we can arrange another before the end of the year?

Blinko Tue 06-Aug-19 13:03:48

I'm looking forward to meeting all the new faces, as well as the 'old' ones. Not old, of course...grin

GrannyBeek Sat 03-Aug-19 15:23:35

I’m the same Deedi, I lurk! But meeting up is fun.

Deedi Fri 02-Aug-19 19:29:39

Hello Blinko,Grannybeek,NannyJan53,Doramarr, can I join you on the 27th please? I can get to Birmingham by train and would love to meet some of the Gransnetters (I rarely post anything but enjoy reading the varied comments).

Blinko Tue 30-Jul-19 08:49:38

It's in my diary.

GrannyBeek Mon 29-Jul-19 23:18:57

That’s fine for me. Putting it in the diary now.

NannyJan53 Thu 25-Jul-19 12:39:09

Shall we say 11.00am, Tuesday 27th August, at JL Café?

Blinko Wed 24-Jul-19 07:43:34

Yep, JL is also good.

Blinko Wed 24-Jul-19 07:43:12

I'm ok for 27th too. We've been to the Museum and Art Gallery recently. It's business as usual.

NannyJan53 Tue 23-Jul-19 20:13:28

27th is better for me as I just realised that 20th is DGD's 11th Birthday!

John Lewis is good for me
