Thank you Elegran for making it happen and for sorting out the technicalities to post the photos. It was great to meet everyone. I think that 3-D flower display is a fitting background to the lovely bunch that you all are! (pun intended)

Those cakes were pretty gorgeous. yumm. I had the choc eclair.
I didn't get any photos.

There are pics in my phone but I need to connect it up to the laptop to load them up to the thread - I can't find the right cable and the wifi connection doesn't seem to recognise the phone. I'll try again. Watch this space.

We did have a nice time today! Thanks Elegran for organising us and for choosing the restaurant. (pity about the rain)
I enjoyed my meal and meeting the new girls and catching up with you all. We could meet often and never run out of conversation! Some of you will be at the Christmas lunch next week.

Hi everyone. Hope you have a good day and catch up with chat with everyone. Sorry I can't make it but dentist appointment unfortunately has to take priority. Hope venue is good, enjoy and have fun.

It is tomorrow - a bit late to change the location now - but all these suggestions are good ones. People come from quite a distance away, usually by public transport, so distances from railway stations and bus routes have to enter into it.

They have already set a good location.

The cafe at the modern art gallery was packed out last week. People circulating with trays of food going cold glaring at people who looked like they might be nearly finished. We left and went to cafe in the gallery across the road - it was closed! Sorry. I don't mean to pour water on your suggestion but its a sore point with me right now. My friends husband helpfully came and picked us up and deposited us in George St.
Central locations seem to suit most as they come by public transport.

It's none of my business but why not consider the cafe at the Modern Art gallery ? Plentiful parking and it used to be good food and company.
