York meet up 22 November

Good to see all you grans again. The Barbakan was such a lovely place to have our lunch. I would certainly be happy to go there for our next meet up. Great food and those puds were something else!

Another friendly get-together yesterday with excellent food and massive cakes; three cakes and five spoons and we still couldn't finish the meringues. Good photo showing the dainty puddings artyfarty.

Had a great afternoon in York with these lovely ladies. Photo shows us just about to demolish dessert. The portions were huge so just ordered three with five spoons!

Here is the ‘special’ chocolate pudding recipe we talked about.
4oz fresh breadcrumbs
2 lev, Dsp instant coffee powder( crushed granules)
4 Dsp choc drinking powder
4 oz Demerara sugar
1 sm tub single cream
1 sm tub double cream
Combine dry ingredients, whip cream together, layer dry mix with cream in 1 1/2 pint straight side glass dish, finish with cream. 3 layers. Cover with foil, refrigerate overnight sealed, decorate and serve.
