Leicestershire-ish meet up

I don’t know anywhere for lunch in Leicester itself. Sorry. (If we are talking evening then I can do any day not just Monday or Wednesday)

I’m not sure what’s still open in Leicester, but I think Ask is. In MH there’s Zizis. Also other different cuisines, but Ask and Zizis tend to do a wide range of choice.

The World Peace Cafe at the Buddhist centre in Leicester is a nice place to go. Veggie and vegan food only, but I have taken omnivores, who have still loved it.

I like the look of the World Peace Cafe. I have never been in a branch of Ask so can't comment but I once had an unhappy experience in a Zizzi's (all I will say about it now is sleep deprivation and loperamide) so I wouldn't be too keen on going there.

I think Ask in Leicester is closed.

There are a fair few restaurants near to JL which might be a good starting point.

Is Pizza Ezpress still open in MH? There’s Ascough’s but it’s probably not suitable for a casual lunch.

Yes Pizza Express, in the old Peacock Inn Pub building, is still open. Ascough's is great, but a pit pricey perhaps.

Waterfront looks lovely but unfortunately I am at the theatre on 23rd March

I like the look of the Waterfront. It would be about an hour’s drive for me, and presumably no trouble parking.

It's fine by me but The Waterfront is not near the station for anyone coming by train.

Kitty I think there will always be some who can’t go certain days. If we give people enough notice they may be able to make a Wednesday.
I can collect anyone from the station if needs be.

Looks like a lovely venue.
I do do classes both morning and afternoon, but I suppose I could miss a week.
