Glesca Grannies December meet up?

I hope you all have a lovely time on Wednesday. As a recent convert to Two Doors Down I am imagining you all sitting there chatting in your lovely Glaswegian /Scottish accents eating expensive doughnuts (remember that one?)
I have only been to Glasgow once and a funny thing happened. I was standing in the foyer of my hotel when a young man asked me a question. I hadn’t a clue what he was saying and must have looked blank as someone else interpreted and said he is asking you where the football ground is .😄

Greenfinch, to be a member of the Glesca Grannies' Gang, you must be able to engage in multiple conversations at the same time. Could you manage that?
As for being able to understand us, we are all very posh! Not! 🤣

I could try Marydoll but I don’t think my hearing would be up to it.☹️
Down south we have very sedate meet ups of about half a dozen people.

Wishing you all a lovely time. I’ve been thinking of saying how envious I am but didn’t want to hurt the feelings of the group down south ( 👋 waves to Greenfinch).

I haven’t been able to get to a meetup for what seems a long time now and although our meetings have been lovely we’ve never been able to gather the numbers of the Glasgow Grannies or indeed some of the Northern groups in the past and yet we are a very friendly lot.
And don’t stop talking when we get together.

Hi dustyangel,I think the problem is that we in the South are generally not prepared to travel very far to meet up . Our group all live within about a five mile radius. The Glasgow contingent is made of sterner stuff.

I’ll be there tomorrow, barring accidents/incidents/earthquakes/illness etc. Been cold here in East Lothian today, and heavy showers every time I dared to venture out, but the ice and snow have gone. Hope all who plan to come have safe journeys.

DH needs a meds review and a general check up. Our lovely GP has let me know she will be able to make a house call tomorrow afternoon. Trying to plan ahead is impossible.
