Time for a Christmas meet up my friends. I was thinking about the week beginning 4th December in our usual venue, the Concert Hall..
Hoping to see the usual suspects and perhaps some new members. We are a friendly bunch and would love to see some new faces.

Just say the days you are free and then we can try to find a suitable date.

I’m hoping to join you, if that’s ok

It would be lovely to meet you. Did you come a previous time, before Covid?

Please keep me a seat! 🥰

Granny23, we always try to sit at the very end of the cafe where we try not to annoy people. 🤣

Just look out for a crowd of noisy women!

That is very kind of you, Granmarie. Hopefully you will make it. unless like me, you get caught up talking to parishioners. 😉

Hello 👋 Glesca Grans, I may be at the coo's tail next week, apologies in advance.
I drive my lovely friend to our Church Coffee Morning on Wednesdays, she's relied on me for this since her amputation last winter. Next week is the Christmas Coffee Morning so it's a bit of an event, she's looking forward to it.
As soon as I get her settled back at home, I'll be on my way, just might not manage it for 1pm.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I'm so looking forward to it, looking for ways to avoid climbing the hill at Buchanan Street.
I am going to factor in a trip to JL. Its so long since I have had a wander.

Would the bus that runs between Glasgow Central, Queen street station and Buchanan Bus Station help with the hill? The stop at the bus station is just outside the concert hall in Killermont st.

That is one of my options. I usually get the train, but the hill just about defeated me the last few times and I was toying with getting the bus all the way to the bus station.
My DH could drop me at the bus stop, the only downside is it takes ages, when the train journey is only 15 minutes.
Or..... I could drive to Cessnock and get the Subway. However, I did that the last time and my car broke down! 🤣
Oh choices, choices, choices!

Marydoll Tue 28-Nov-23 20:06:36

More like four or more,GG 🤣

Hw would be welcome to join us. wink

I am tempted to arrange a romantic break with DH in Glasgow which coincides with the next Glesca Grannies meet up.

I am sure he wouldn’t miss me for an hour or four 🙋‍♀️

Whoo hooo - I’ve just booked my train ticket - assuming all on time I’ll be arriving at Queen St about 11.20am. I’ve built in some contingency time to allow for delays so I’ll have a wee wander around the shops first 😀
I’m changing trains at Stirling if anyone is coming from that direction
Looking forward to seeing you all soon x

Aven

Hi are you the wee Annie who comes from Ayr?

Hi, I get the X77 to and from Glasgow and the bus station in Glasgow is very close to the concert hall.
I don’t get on the bus in Ayr but I could arrange to meet you.
You should come ! It will be fun :-)

NannyJan53 Sun 19-Nov-23 08:58:38

It is a shame I live in the West Mids, so too far away. Sounds like it will be a fun meet.
