We have a king size bed, 2 x 2’6” mattresses, both with their own covers, protectors and fitted sheets. We have a super king duvet.
We can’t use heated blankets or hot water bottles with our tempura mattresses, but can warm the bed with a heated throw if we wish.
I sleep with my head raised and DH his feet.
I consider it one of our best buys. Extremely comfortable.

We have a Super King size bed, one side has an electric motor, the other side is mechanical (you have to pull the strap to raise the head.

Each Dunlopillo mattress is 3 feet wide and takes a single size bottom sheet.

Easier to do than the other bed with Super King mattress it is very much a wrestling job.

We had to get an electric bed after DH's operation for oesophageal cancer. No VAT as a medical necessity. He made a stunning recovery and lived 11 more years, but had to sleep at an angle to prevent reflux.
It was a double, but with two mattresses and two motors. He had to use his all the time, but I sat up with mine to have our coffee in the morning. Yes, I had to get extra long fitted sheets, but our old duvet was fine.
We even bought another for DD's house, their original spare-room bed being more of an instrument of torture..

Sorry - my misunderstanding. I didn't know that they needed to be adjusted separately.

I have a super king size set of sheets/ duvet / duvet covers for couples, and use single bedding for when they are separated.
Each part has a mattress cover, and when joined, I put an extra layer under the sheet ( a blanket or such) to cover the join.
Laundering super king size bedding is a bit of a chore, I will acknowledge.

This won't work for a king-size adjustable bed. Even if the 2 mattresses are side by side they have to be kept separate or they can't be adjusted individually

In Germany we had 2 separate mattresses on the Queen size base with separate bedding - worked well for me..

If it’s a 6 foot bed, two lots of standard single size bedding?

Yes we have one. You have to have individual sheets etc. It took me ages to find fitted sheets big enough for half a king-size bed -and they are fiddly to take on and off. The whole bed is extremely heavy - I'd like to change the carpet but it would be hard to move it!
So far in 3 years OH has used his half a few times and I've never used mine. To be honest I wish we'd got 2 single beds instead

Sorry meant to post this in home - I really am being dim today!! grin

Does anyone have a king or super-king split adjustable bed?

I’m interested in one in the future, but don’t understand how the bottom bedding would work, fitted sheet, mattress protector and electric blanket?

I might just be a bit dim, but I cannot fathom it.
