Hi I've had melsma on my cheeks and nose for years, just started using evorel conti patches, and wondered if it will increase my melsma or reduce it .
Thanks

I use la Roche posay antihelios fluid spf 50 and stay out of the sun!

I got melasma when I was pregnant, and still have some now years later near my ears. It’s sort of migrated.

I watch DrDray a board certified dermatologist on YouTube. She has a lot of videos on pigmentation and melasma, as well on lots of other skin conditions.

Sadly the use of the contraceptive pill and HRT can cause melisma. I believe it is a case of weighing up the benefits of HRT against the possibility of making your condition worse.
If you stay out of the sun and us factor 50 sunscreen it should help. Please consult your doctor.
