Oh, pesterpause, menopause, why are you doing it to me?
Why did I have to get up 7 times in the night for a wee?
I lay here in bed while the light of the flame flickers…
I’ve had more ups and downs than the local tart’s knickers!
I’m tossing and turning, hot flushes abound,
the painkillers to ease you cost a fortune, I’ve found.
Just as I snuggle in bed with our cat in the middle,
you make me get up for the trillionth piddle!
Oh, let me sleep, I beg of you now
as I’m turning into a grumpy old cow
with tired puffy eyes
and a headache that hurts,
while I’m glued to the loo,
for a squidge and a squirt!
