Hopefully you may be sorted now, but you could always ring your gynaecologist s secretary to have a word with them.
They can always write to your Gp. Your practice shouldn’t just take you off hormones like that.

Ask to see a GP asap. A nurse should never override what a consultant ordered, that is another doctor.

Also quote 'Patient voice' as you have a right to a say in your own prescriptions, especially as it has already been prescribed by a consultant.

You have to say it’s low libido to get testosterone.

Remind them it’s from a consultant.

It was likely prescribed 'off licence' and not as per Nice guidance....speak to the practice manager

Sounds as though it's prescribing practice where you live now rather than the nurse making her own decision. Bad luck. If you see a GP at the new practice you may succeed in getting it reversed.

I’ve recently moved home & so changed GP surgery. I have been on HRT for 4 years estradiol, utrogestan & testogel. A nurse at my new surgery has called me to say they can no longer prescribe me the testogel element of HRT as it’s not licensed for women. All of these items were originally prescribed by a consultant gynaecologist 4 years ago in another part of the uk. Can a nurse override a doctor’s prescription like this? I’m very angry as it took a long time & lots of tweaks to get the dose right for me. I will pursue it but wondered if anyone else had experienced similar & what was the outcome?
