PARTY PASS THE TORCH

I'm bringing my very own torch!! It usually lives in the shed, but I know you'll all be very impressed with it; you will never lose your way in the dark with this. DH says it's a flashlight and seemed to snigger when I said I was taking it to an Olympic torch party. But what does he know? Anyone who talks in his sleep is not truly with it.

It really does have a very strong beam It reminds me of Torchy - "Torchy,Torchy, the battery boy". I shall tie it on to my broomstick helmet and head for Portiswhatsis very soon. Just having a quick or two to set me up.

Careful you don't get arrested for being drunk in charge of a broomstick, Ariadne!

I have sold mine on e-bay to solve the euro crisis, so I will send my best wishes.

I'm just over to Wales to nick borrow the torch! I'm taking my fil's old prewar genuine miners lamp complete with tally to bring the flame back in!

Make sure you are fit enough at the end of the party to bring the torch back - needed up this stretch of the woods ( or mountains) tomorrow - the decorations are out ready.

Had a Davey lamp once..might still be in the shed.. I'll be with you once I've found it and the broomstick (note to self..tidy the shed!)

Then the broomstick kept moving to the left when I tried to climb on, and I have a bruised bum with falling off, I tied it to the garden bench till I climbed on but when it took it the bench came with us and it fell on some poor man I as I went over the A1, I could hear sirens but I just put my foot down, its a bit early for a visit from our boys in blue
