Is Victoria Beckham wearing the daftest skirt ever?

www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2177725/Victoria-Beckham-chaperoned-little-fashionista-Romeo--working-away-day-Paris.html

You need to scroll down a bit. I don't suppose she'll fall flat on her face but would anyone seriously want to be seen in THAT? shock

greenmossgiel Mon 23-Jul-12 18:39:57

Looks a bit like I made it on my machine.....and I can't sew! I only bought the machine so I could make some curtains.....grin

merlotgran Mon 23-Jul-12 18:43:14

Let's hope it's not going to be a new uniform for trendy restaurants.

nanaej Mon 23-Jul-12 18:44:23

Would not be my choice..but she probably wouldn't like mine!!

Anagram Mon 23-Jul-12 18:44:37

Oh dear...I am so tired of her and her ridiculous clothes, shoes, and determination not to smile. hmm

nightowl Mon 23-Jul-12 19:34:08

It's a good job she tweeted how excited she was because her face certainly didn't give it away grin

petallus Mon 23-Jul-12 19:44:19

Just had a look and liked the skirt. What's up with it.

I think she never smiles in media photos because she is being harrassed by press photographers. Must really get on her nerves.

petallus Mon 23-Jul-12 19:44:35

Here is the missing ?

merlotgran Mon 23-Jul-12 19:58:35

I'm not the only one scratching my head, petallus because whoever wrote the article described the skirt as a pair of high waist trousers confused.

Nonu Mon 23-Jul-12 20:05:09

If it really gets on her nerves , the constant pressure of being viewed why does always put herself in the public eye ? confused

Anagram Mon 23-Jul-12 20:09:52

Why must it really get on her nerves, being harrassed/pursued by photographers? She puts herself out there to be photographed - never a hair out of place!

Anagram Mon 23-Jul-12 20:10:50

Oh - sorry, Nonu - didn't see your post before I said my piece! grin

merlotgran Mon 23-Jul-12 20:12:23

Although I'm taking the mickey out of this particular skirt, I sometimes think she looks amazing even though her moody expressions could sour milk - not that she drinks it, of course. grin

johanna Mon 23-Jul-12 20:23:40

I feel very very sorry for her. Because she is not stupid she knows she has not got the " flesh " that makes men go bananas.
Unlike Rebecca Loos for instance.
I am sure she is a normal family girl with old fashioned values.
And those values will never make you look exciting.
You can hang 100 handbags worth £6000,00 each, on your arm, it will not change your aura.

It is those with the air of a free spirit..............etc etc.

Nonu Mon 23-Jul-12 20:30:08

Very profound , and I think , I agree with u . this is me having a nice smile for u

merlotgran Mon 23-Jul-12 20:36:09

I don't think she gives a stuff about whether men go bananas for her or not. She chose to lose shedloads of weight because fashion is her life. Sometimes she gets it spot on and sometimes she looks like her skirt is falling down. grin

nightowl Mon 23-Jul-12 20:50:30

It's not just that she doesn't smile, she actually looks deeply unhappy to me. I think there's something very wrong there. johanna may be right.

Anagram Mon 23-Jul-12 21:21:43

I think she's trapped in a situation of her own making. Having married Beckham, and her singing career having spectacularly failed, she had to find something to make her mark, otherwise she'd just be another WAG.
I did think having Harper might have made her happy and fulfilled - but it doesn't seem so. sad

petallus Mon 23-Jul-12 21:34:50

That's a big assumption. How can you possibly know Anagram how she feels about Harper?

As for saying she shouldn't put herself out there if she doesn't want to be photographed, what is she supposed to do, live in Purdah?

The poor woman has to go out sometimes - airports, shops, hospitals etc. - and she is hounded. So she scowls.

baNANA Mon 23-Jul-12 21:43:06

Petallus do you really believe that. There are loads of big names who are constantly passing through airports, shops etc. who don't go their faces in the papers on a daily basis, and more importantly don't allow their children to be photographed all the time. For example, anyone ever seen pictures of Euan McGregor's or Johnny Depp's kids for example?

Anagram Mon 23-Jul-12 21:51:51

Hmm...perhaps the fact that it was well-known she wanted a baby girl might have given me the idea that she'd feel happier?
As for 'poor woman' - why is she always dressed up to the nines when she ventures out, and is never seen in slob-wear such as most celebs are occasionally snapped in? She's conscious of her image at all times, and she never actually scowls - she just looks bored.

baNANA Mon 23-Jul-12 21:57:04

The Mail on line published a really posed picture she had tweeted recently of her looking down at the floor in her private plan, very sad and glum because she didn't like the carpet! Enough to give anyone a face like thunder I'd say! An ego the size of her handbag collection.

baNANA Mon 23-Jul-12 22:01:27

Oops meant to type plane in last post not plan.

absentgrana Tue 24-Jul-12 09:43:44

I don't care about Victoria Beckham, her clothes or, for that matter, her children.

soop Tue 24-Jul-12 14:52:22

absent I feel the same way about Katie [poutie] Price.
