Desmond Tutu thinks it should be

For a cleric, Desmond often speaks a lot of sense.

If Blair had said 'We must get rid of Saddam because he is ruthless tyrant' he might not have got permission to invade, but what he said was 'We must get rid him because he threatens the UK or our allies' which was the only legal justification for invasion. He is a slimy ,self-seeking liar.

It's not going to happen – Tony Blair could weasel out of anything and
is too rich and powerful with rich and powerful friends ever to be indicted. As For George W. – the USA doesn't recognise the court in The Hague.

Desmond Tutu is man of considerable integrity.

I really believe Blair just wanted rid of him, rightly or wrongly. He was going to war wha ever the outcome of the search for the WMD.

But is Iraq, or the rest of the world any better off?

I'm glad I don't have to make these decisions.

He got very well paid for making decisions.

Tony Blair, for all he reached the highest position in Government in the UK, is, nevertheless, a man who only feels comfortable when he has somebody above him to look to for approval and reassurance. In his case, when Prime Minister the only person he could possibly look up to was the President of the United States - and he did. If the P of the USA send jump then Blair jumped and the only reason we went to war against Iraq was because Bush wanted it.

The monitoring team in Iraq, who were very little constrained by the Iraqi government, kept bringing out reports saying they could not find weapons of mass destruction anywhere. They inspected every site the US considered suspect and still found nothing. The 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' reason for the war, was completely unjustified and Bush and Blair knew it.

We went to war to assuage Bush family pride. What Bush Snr started when he (rightly) defended the Kuwaitis from the Iraqi invasion Bush Jnr wanted to equal by getting rid of Saddam himself.

Both men took us into an unjustified war that led to the death of many on all sides. I am completely with Desmond Tutu on this. The sooner they are both in court at The Hague the better.

Blair lied and a lot of us knew he was lying. We went to war, lots of people died (and are still dying) but hell we kept George happy and that's what it was all about.

In answer to the question, my reply is YES, YES and YES again. He'll wriggle and wriggle though like the worm he is but perhaps, just perhaps, justice will prevail in getting him before the Court.

I say it again - follow the money. Who gained financially by the Iraq war? Not the Iraqs, not the British public - but the 'defence' industry. Blair was just as much in thrall to big business as Cameron is. He didn't get over £20 million pounds by being a good socialist.

Somehow can"t see Teflon Tony ending up in court , would be nice , but it ain"t gonna happen .
