Re-use of 'spent' nuclear fuel to get 134 times the energy from it

The best thing to do with 'spare energy' (particularly the unreliable power from wind turbines) is to use it to produce hydrogen which can be stored and then be used as a fuel and we could produce cars that really are emission free.

It gives me hope for the future of the earth for my grandchldren.

Seems there's a lot of movement in identifying better sources of energy, and the sooner we get away from oil the better. Yesterday, I listened to an interesting discussion which is reported on BBC News website.

Using "wrong-time" electricity from renewables to turn air into liquid may offer a solution to one of the great challenges in engineering - how to store energy until it is needed.

Apparently, air stored as liquid ice can be kept until needed, then converted for electricity to be fed ino the National Grid.

What an interesting article? I wonder in who's interest it is not to use it.
