The comedian Sean Lock described Dave as looking as though he's been under the school caretaker's floor polisher. For some reason I understood what he meant and also found it hysterically funny. As is the 'robot made from ham' quote.

The nail in the coffin of me having any trust in politicians of any party came when the Libs stopped being the Jiminy Crickets of politics and became as two faced and deceiteful as the rest of them. I seem to be in a political void at the moment.

How old is David Cameron? There's no problem about someone keeping in touch with former school friends, even a Prime Minister, but surely we all move on from there and expand our horizons.

He is known for his arrogance, and failure to communicate with anyone other than those within his very narrow circle of cronies largely ex-school friends

Maggie - I don't reserve my contempt for the Tories - I hate New Labour as well! Blair is a self-serving, greedy, lying hypocrite. Hm... much like the new lot then.

Dave had been disappointing but let us not forget what the last party in power left as a legacy! They cannot now expect to sweep all that under the carpet as if it didn't happen.... The trouble is that every party in Opposition thinks they are the saviours of the rest of us.

I'm ashamed to admit this, as a lifelong Labour voter, but I'm quite fond of 'Dave' [even more so now the party are sticking the knife in him]. Do believe he's a nice guy. I liked John Major, too at the time when they only chose him as leader when they thought they were going to lose the election and thought he would make a good scapegoat.
