My DH when we went to the ballet last week was convinced that Noel Cowerd and Gertrude Lawrence who were smoking as they danced(amusingly done)were smoking pot as wafts came over the audience. Personally I thought it was the man in seat L 16 in front who couldn't keep still and kept swigging fr om his bottle of ?water.

I wish they'd come and work near where I live - apple cores would be the least of their worries. People here take stuff from dustbins and from charity collection bags outside houses. They then go to the top of the road, root through them and pick out the "good" stuff, and fling the remainder all over the grass - charming.

We even saw a piano dumped at the bottom of the road a couple of years ago. And a double mattress on the main road! I really don't understand it as our Council picks up large items without charge and without limit. It's harder work transporting something and then dumping it, than ringing up the Council, surely?

While Hemp and Cannabis are the same genus, you just get a nasty cough from smoking hemp...

For some reason I tried smoking catkins in my youth [don't ask me why; it probably seemed like a good idea at the time].

There was a strange craze for smoking the inside of banana skin scrapings in my youth - where on earth did that come from...?

Ana I thought it was supposed to give the smoker a psychedelic effect.
