I have voted in every election since I was 21 and have always voted SNP. I joined the party in 1973 - since then it has moved steadily leftwards until it has nearly caught up with me!
The Westminster system is devised in such a way that new or minority parties have little or no influence (no big backers, denied PPBs or a place on debates or Question Time, seldom called at PMQs, ridiculed when they speak, etc.) and that will continue until there is proper proportional representation. PR is not in the best interests of the big two who would rather take their chances in the 'winner takes all' system. They are not too worried about an independent or small party candidate at an election because they would rather lose 1 vote or seat to the 'others' than to the opposition, which = 2 votes/seats lost in terms of overall majority.
The alternative is to join an existing party and work from within by creating an inhouse pressure group.
Good luck to the new (virtual) party - I would suggest SENORITY as the name
