Another US general has to fall on his sword because of his adultery, which is considered a crime in the US armed forces. It appears that in one case it was a jealous lover who blew the whistle on the general and another woman. Their careers are in ruins and it remains to be seen if their wives will forgive them and if the women's marriages will survive. Their children will suffer too. I wonder if it was worth it. The men are 60-ish - silly old devils should have learned to keep it in their pants.
I think it was Kissinger, that deeply unattractive man, who said that power was an aphrodisiac - well, it must be true, or how can anyone explain John Prescott and his social secretary?
