Todays Daily Telegraph has 2 photographs of Antonia De Sancha, one a studio type portrait taken in 1993, the other looks like a paparazzi type shot taken yesterday. The second picture could hardly be more unflattering if it tried. The photos take up around 1/4 of a broadsheet page.
Why? All there was to accompany the pictures was a 2 line piece saying who she was (i.e. ex mistress of David Mellor) and that she has since run a successful business.
This is NOT news, this seems just to be a snide way of focussing attention on someone because of the way they now look. She is not newsworthy today, there doesn't seem to be any valid reason for showing the pictures other than to infer that her appearance has altered and not for the better.
I have tried and failed to find a link, but someone else might succeed.
I know in the great scheme of things this is small potatoes, but it made me angry.
