Brilliant news for secondary schools. Heads across the nation must be heaving a huge sigh of relief this morning to hear that they do not have to battle through another major upheaval in the examination system in the next 3 years. Those who have grandchildren in secondary school should also be relieved that teachers can continue to concentrate on improved learning and achievement of pupils instead of dealing with a major distraction.
It is also great news for less academic children who would have struggled to achieve Gove's new benchmark of success.

Could be me Jess .... I'm single but a girl has to have some standards! Are we talking Gove, Lansley or H(c)unt here?

No gove gove to stop him whatsiting up schools on a spectacular scale, all the while pretending it is all for the under achieving working class kids.
I think I got a bit carried away with the health company.
I meant if you happen to be on the board of a large acquisitive organisation that wants to run lots of Academies. That would be perfect.
But if anyone happened to be on the board of a health company then there are obvious targets as you say.

I note that Gove's new curriculum omits all mention of the EU from virtually all subjects, including geography. A political decision or what?

Well all you need to know about is tables, the glory that was England and how to remember the names of the planets in order and you'll be fully equipped for the workforce. hmm

Neat.
Kids will have to get very good at mnemonics if they are to survive being gored.
