Top 20 places to live for wildlife lovers

A bit biased.

My garden in Hampshire is full of birds, hedgehogs etc.
why not Kent, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire etc..? Load of old rubbish really. but nice pics. Haven't seen too many deer on the river at Richmond if I remember rightly.

Totally biased! I think a lot of the London places might appeal to some people but the wildlife would be rather limited. It must be rubbish as it doesn't include Malvern. Nuff said

It's just propaganda to make the poor beggars living in London feel better. If they knew how wonderful life is outside the metropolis they'd all want to come and live here - and we don't want that!

I agree that it's an odd list but the first photograph is of a place with which I'm very familiar. My brother & SIL lived in Barnes for many years, her ashes were scattered on the wetlands and she has a memorial bench there. It is indeed a lovely place.

Butty the claim that they are the "Top 20 places to live for wildlife lovers". I don't think there is much wild life in Westminster unless you include the MPs!

London makes up a small fraction of the area of the UK, but a quarter of the "best places to live for wildlife" are apparently there, according to this. Lovely pics, yes, but the proportions are not representative of the wildlife map of the country. Now if they had invited readers to send photos of their own areas . . .

Obviously when we lived in Cornwall it was very lovely and there was a lot of wildlife, but I actually see more now we live in Berkshire. Not quite so many rabbits, but squirrels, foxes, woodpeckers, jays and long tailed tits are all more common. Even the buzzards have moved up here and we have the red kites as well and muntjac deer.

Move . Wild MP's - now there's a thought.

You can't shoot them out of season, though.
