William Roache thinks abuse victims might bring it on themselves - pardon me??

I know he has some bizarre views, and as well as defending celeb abusers, William Roache has now announced that sexual abuse victims are being punished for previous sins. I think this 80-year old philanderer needs to keep his big mouth closed if all he can come out with is rubbish like that. I believe he is out of the country at the moment. I wouldn't like to be him when his plane touches back down in the UK!

I have just read in the news that Bill Roache's publishing company, in which he is a major shareholder, has lost over 2 million pounds in the last year or so. Riding's Publishing produces magazines like Lancashire Life, and is based in Blackpool. Two of the other board members/shareholders are Stuart Hall, retired TV presenter, and Owen Oyston, property mogul/estate agent before he went to prison for rape.

Orca I mentioned some time ago that I really don't want to be addressed as a band of muscle. You might just as well call me bums and tums. Please don't – it's only three letters more.

When I think this thread was always about someone who'd lost his marbles so best to treat his inane comments this.

Bags Tue 19-Mar-13 19:59:54

Besides, if you can't be arsed to write full names (which is fine – neither can I), it's okay for me not to use caps smile

Bags Tue 19-Mar-13 19:58:23

Tuff, laddie wink

Orca Tue 19-Mar-13 19:57:42

Don't wish to be pedantic Bag but it's got a capital O!

Marelli Tue 19-Mar-13 19:52:15

When I came back from the shops, DH was sounding off about what he'd heard on the news about Ken Loach. It took me a while to work out that it was William Roache he meant confused!

Orca Tue 19-Mar-13 19:51:46

Feetle I don't think HRH is insane, merely terminally bewildered.

Incidentally I'm getting fed up typing full names so hope no one objects to me shortening them Great, Abs, Ba, Feet, Fli, Butt, etc?

Greatnan Tue 19-Mar-13 19:45:04

Orca grin

Orca Tue 19-Mar-13 19:41:01

Surely that proves he's not just lost it, but he's always been a few butties short of a picnic Greatnan?

absent Tue 19-Mar-13 19:40:44

feetlebaum No.

feetlebaum Tue 19-Mar-13 19:37:56

So was I for years - until Willy Haig became leader, in fact. That did it, and I am now a Lib-Dem.

I have to say that Mr Roache makes HRH seem quite sane, doesn't he?
