No, Sel, I can't admire anybody for eating at MacDs.

Sel Fri 05-Apr-13 13:21:02

He wasn't driving. I thought you'd all be applauding the fact he was getting down with the real people and nipping into MaccyDs for a burger.

|Does he nip into the disabled loo if he finds a queue in the Mens? {oh no that's the Ladies.}

"Senior Conservative sources claim the Chancellor had been dropped off to pick up some food and that he was not aware that the car had been parked in the restricted bay.

"George does not condone this in any way," the source said."

Oh Yeah?

Galen Fri 05-Apr-13 10:52:29

Was it him or his driver?

Greatnan Fri 05-Apr-13 10:13:37

What a very unobservant chap he must be, not to notice the large signs in a disabled bay!

annodomini Fri 05-Apr-13 10:11:01

Wonderful, bluebell. grin

To avoid this sort of controversy and adverse publicity perhaps he should continue to travel by train where his ticket will prove his right to be there – at least his right to be on the train though not necessarily in the first class carriage.

Says it all really. No wait a minute, just seen DM coverage.
'Given the shortage of normal parking spaces for hard working non disabled people with only 2 children, the Government has decided to declassify disabled parking spaces' When asked about this, the chancellor said ' this would incentivise disabled people to work and not choose a life style of benefit dependency underpinned by easy availability of special parking spaces' Eric Pickles added that hard working able bodied families with only two children were subsidising free local authority car parking for disabled people who were able to go out in their cars whenever they wanted . A spokesman for the Tax Payers alliance said the fact that so many disabled people could afford cars showed that the tax payers funded disability benefits were too high. ' I know for a fact that disabled people with 15 children are being provided with luxury coaches with inbuilt bars and Sky TV. These coaches use up several parking bays'
