Someone in the UK has won the £81m Euro Millions - all I know is that it wasn't me.

kittylester Wed 29-May-13 19:00:13

Nor me - though I wouldn't like that much really!

HappyNanna Wed 29-May-13 19:05:31

Wasn't me either. Agree, wouldn't like that much.

mollie Wed 29-May-13 19:39:57

I wish! But sadly....

mrshat Wed 29-May-13 19:46:27

Not me - not sure I would know what to do with that much!

Galen Wed 29-May-13 20:24:34

Not me!

liminetta Wed 29-May-13 20:42:53

Not me, either. If I won, I would sort all the family out financially, and save a couple of million,(so I could live off the interest, you know); then I would go and find some good causes to invest in.After all that, I would take my very best friend out for a slap up lunch, and have a driver to take us, so that we could both enjoy a tipple.(I usually drive everywhere, you see.)That would be great.

NannaB Wed 29-May-13 21:23:51

Nor me! sad

inthefields Wed 29-May-13 21:36:36

I wish!

I assume that you have to buy a ticket, so it wouldn't have been me.

Hunt Wed 29-May-13 23:33:45

No thank you.

Movedalot Thu 30-May-13 10:03:03

I would know what to do with it!

tammy1351 Sun 02-Jun-13 00:14:04

I guess that as an 80yr old 80 odd million would be a little much to spend in the next few years however I would give a lot to my fav. charity and make sure my family were well looked after.I live in hope!!

NannaAnna Sun 02-Jun-13 00:32:58

It really should have been me, because I've worked out exactly what I'd do with a huge amount like that (it involves setting up a charitable trust). Sadly it wasn't me ... yet again sad

glammanana Sun 02-Jun-13 08:52:08

Not us either I'm sorry to say,mr.glamma commented last night when the normal lottery was drawn that if he doesn't win soon he will be too old to climb into the Bentley he dreams of buying never mind drive it !! sad

Nelliemoser Sun 02-Jun-13 09:33:27

Oh Tammy1351 have you no ambition? why let being 80 cramp your style. wink grin

harrigran Sun 02-Jun-13 11:42:52

smile

Mishap Sun 02-Jun-13 15:30:09

Not me - but then I did not buy a ticket.

I would rather see 81 people get one million each - makes more sense.

Hunt Sun 02-Jun-13 23:01:46

Mishap, exactly!

PRINTMISS Mon 03-Jun-13 08:25:03

I agree with you Mishap there seems to be too much money for the people who already have too much, but then again, perhaps whoever won it did not have much, but it is still too much for one person, I think. Whatever would I do with that amount? Faint!

Charleygirl Mon 03-Jun-13 10:33:25

I also did not buy a ticket but I have loads of charities in mind who would breathe a sigh of relief for a while.

granjura Mon 03-Jun-13 17:09:14

Not me... as i've never bought a ticket. Totally agree with Movelot- those prizes are so ridiculously high. I can't think of anyway I could spend 81m - I suppose is give a million each to daughters and grand-children, keep one to do our house up and then give the rest to well-chosen charities.

grannyactivist Mon 03-Jun-13 17:13:14

Not me - never bought myself a ticket.

Marelli Mon 03-Jun-13 19:24:04

Apparently, the person who won this prize is a 21-year-old chap from Edinburgh. A 'lucky dip'! This information has been given DH by 'Old Jim', who was playing in a bowling tournament in Edinburgh at the weekend....wink...!

Yesterdaysgirl Mon 03-Jun-13 23:11:20

... methinks that kind of win could only bring unhappiness in the end .... the begging never stops ... better him than me.

It rarely goes to those who deserve.
