UK overseas aid is 0.7% of GDP, I think. Not a lot in the great scheme of things.

Frank - lighthearted? Does not compute at all!

Cameron has already acknowledged that, alongside the intention of helping the poor in other countries, aid money is partly given out of self-interest. His example was that people in impoverished countries would not be so tempted to try and get into the UK if their own standard of living was raised. I believe there is also ample evidence of aid being tied to trades deals.

I think the term "Bongobongo land" is ignorant, rude and - yes - racist.
