He did come across as a real smooth character, a bit too smooth for my liking.

Doesn't he have an adult disabled child that he cares for?

The gutter press bought his stories, published them with glee (and not always too much concern with their veracity- we have all seen the banner headlines and "those" front pages and he made a lot of money as well as wrecking lives. Poetic justice indeed.

He's always come across as a bit sleazy/seedy, but can you really blame the tabloids for seizing on the stories of the celebs he represented?

I didn't think anyone was suggesting that every single thing he said was lies and distortions, he was on trial for sexual offences and has of course been found guilty. I'm not defending him in any way, but I'm not sure what you're implying by your post, Soutra.

Well you are all being very restrained - I have searched for a thread on this topic and can't seem to find one! So slimeball Clifford is getting his comeuppance at last. What a totally unpleasant, arrogant and nauseating character he always has been is. And how wonderfully ironic to be savaged by the gutter press red tops which in the past have promulgated his lies and distortions with such dedication. So they believed he was telling the truth then did they? Leopards and spots spring to mind.
