Help sign my petition and save my home from demolition!

I'm a bit wary of signing something I know nothing about, by a poster whose name I don't recall seeing previously.

I heard something on the radio the other day about some tower blocks in London ? Kensington & Chelsea (but could be wrong) which the council wanted to demolish and sell the land for private development.

The link says that residents will be re-housed fifty miles away - that seems a very long distance. How would people get to work or school etc?

Well I won't be signing a petition regarding some unknown subject for some stranger who seems to have "joined" Gransnet simply to get signatures. Almost constitutes spam IMO.

I guess maybe the OP wanted to be short & to the point.

After clicking on the link, tho, we don't know if the council has a good reason for wanting to demolish this block - maybe it's becoming unsound.

Sorry if this seems unsympathetic but I cannot imagine I am the only person unwilling to sign a petition for sonething I know nothing about. Perhaps you could explain the situation on the forum?
