This incident has not appeared in any newspaper I read , bizarre

Did you? Strangely, I can find no trace of such a report on google. Can't have made the headlines, which is quite surprising.

I'm not confused Ana. Why would the right wing press report on a story that puts the Conservatives in a bad light? I read about in the Guardian of course

Penstemmon Sun 23-Nov-14 20:09:13

The case itself is worrying. Never mind IDS response!
How could it have got to appeal? Where the f*ck is common sense?

I find this incident, and the non-reportage of it in the national press, very confusing.

Fiona O'Donnell seems to have been the only one to tweet about it, yet Labour supporters are seizing on it as an example of IDS's (and by association, the conservatives') cavalier attitude to domestic violence.

I doubt very much whether he'd have been laughing at the plight of the young woman involved. We aren't told at what point, or at what comment, he did in fact laugh.

But don't let that get in the way of a good conservative-bashing-fest!

My son and his family live in Chingford. I don't know who he will vote for but it won't be IDS.

He knew what he was thinking, vampire, assuming he was thinking at all.
He refused to be sidelined in the last reshuffle. He obviously has something on Cameron. Either that or he is going to resign at the next election, anyway, so does not care, if he ever did.

And in this of all weeks ! Its International End Violence against women week

OMG that's appalling. What was the man thinking?

durhamjen Sun 23-Nov-14 19:05:26

Anyone live in his constituency?
This woman, an NHS nurse, is standing against him at the election next year.
