What!!!
The General Election on DH's birthday!!!
Oh my, he's going to love this, wait 'til I tell him. Stand well back.

Soutra Fri 02-Jan-15 17:46:56

I think we have known this date since this government passed the Five Year act. And I suspect everybody involved is regretting it! There might have been a time when "cutting and running" might have been in their interests more than going the full 5 years.

Riverwalk Fri 02-Jan-15 17:47:02

One of the disadvantages of a fixed-term parliament.

Five effin' months is more than I can bear!

Something to be said for snap elections hmm

Soutra Fri 02-Jan-15 17:49:25

BTW THE "Fixed Term Parliaments Act "received royal assent in September 2011 in case anybody is wondering.

Brendawymms Fri 02-Jan-15 17:56:21

I only get back into the UK on 3rd May so I miss most of the rubbish, discussions and back biting.

absent Fri 02-Jan-15 18:38:11

"Make a plan" Nonu? Do you have a coup in mind? How exciting!

Nonu Fri 02-Jan-15 19:04:38

Sorry to disappoint,Not a coup, more like another trip Stateside, now I know when the general election is I can plan accordingly [boring I know, but there you go , that's life, chuckle]
