And as Mishap says their education and NHS policies are the best of the lot.
What's wrong with a citizen's income? People are given that anyway by giving those earning under a certain amount tax credits, housing benefit, unemployment benefits and disability benefits, etc. Having a citizens income means that there will be less paperwork and fewer people working in benefit offices just to sort out the present mess. They can then be employed in more meaningful and helpful work. The care system and the NHS would not be in such a mess.
Why is there always this idea that if people are given money, they will not want to work? Look at how many people work in voluntary organisations, because they want to do something rather than nothing.
At present, because of the race to the bottom in terms of pay, there are more working families claiming benefits than workless families.
