Has anyone heard about this? It's a plan to set up a colony on Mars in the coming years. Thousands have volunteered for this one way ticket, as there are no plans to bring them back, and 100 have been shortlisted including five from the UK.

MIT have suggested the average time they can survive is 69 days. The plan is to send a group of four out every two years for six years. Saw two youngsters interviewed on local TV last night who are on the UK short list.

Talk about bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! They hadn't a clue what they were letting themselves in for.

I bet half of them change their mind by the time it leaves. I would want a cyanide capsule at the very least - in case they ran out of food and decided I looked tasty. Being well padded and all.

I'd send Jed Bush!

How many more of the Bush family are going to come out of the woodwork? (Was that a pun?) grin

Yes, indeed...this is one of George W's most famous gaffs.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we"
