Well I don't ruddy well care what party is involved I will never begrudge a parent who has lost their child the right not to air brush them out of their lives just because they might upset those who have no respect for anything they are likely to do or so anyway.
Gordon Brown did talk of his daughter during the Scottish Referendum for example and I never for one moment cringed and thought he was being anything other than a parent who knew great sadness. There was no media circus or frenzy or dislike for the man , accusing him of 'cheap shots', if there had I would be saying the same as I don't think a persons political persuasion should make any difference when talking passionately about their deceased child. I appreciate others take a different view.
The Milibands and Cameron's have become part of the obsessive, modern day need to know about what makes our politicians tick. Sturgeon has been doing the rounds, Clegg has kept his family out of it but I think that's more to do with his wife who has shown little interest in British politics and as for Foarage he has perhaps done the right thing but he too mentions his past health etc. and his appreciation of what the NHS has done for him.
At the end of the day all I know is I wouldn't do the job for all the tea in China if this subject creates so much animosity towards my family and myself.
Is it rude to not finish a book club choice that was selected by someone else?
