I am not Christian. I would not be accepted in this country.
None of my family are.
I have two members of the family who are foreigners, one Spanish, one Danish. They are not practising Christians either, so they would not be allowed in by Farage.

And if you do not mind me saying so, jingl, that is not a very Christian attitude.

How does anyone propose to weed out non-Christians? These people rarely have passports, let along confirmation certificates with them. What a Farage of nonsense!

That's what I said the Christian Brothers do, jingl. They have moved to Freetown and set up orphanages and schools there for the street children.
My son's school sends pupils and staff out there to help build houses, etc.
However, they cannot go there now because of ebola, which, believe it or not, is still rife in West Africa. I can't imagine you would like your children or grandchildren to go to West Africa at the moment.

If we do not let them in officially, they come unofficially.

This is then what happens in this country to those without papers, like absent mentions.

durhamjen I am talking about the migrants not people already here, but you knew that didn't you, don't twist everything to suit your own agenda which is having a dig at Nigel Farage and the people that support UKIP. As if all the people who are not christians and already living in this country would have to leave where do you think we are living Nazi Germany, get real, have you no common sense. I agree we have to budge up and take as many of these people in as we can. It is heartbreaking to think of them being put on more seaworthy boats and sent back again.

I always thought I had encountered all sorts in my professional life but on reflection, the majority of my encounters have been with considerate, reasonable and, well, basically, well-mannered people.

Like most "Grannies" in fact.
