Can I say that I think that voters on gransnet who support Labour, and lean towards Labour have been quite magnaminous on this thread tonight.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 09:47:36

Sky News was the best for instant results but all 4 t.v channels that covered it had their moments.

Jeremy Paxman enjoyed himself.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 09:45:23

ME, I did and not stopping until the final whistle!

Mishap Fri 08-May-15 09:43:01

OK - hands up who managed to stay awake all night!

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 09:39:55

I cant comment on all these posts now.
Plus I havent seen the tv coverage from 5am onwards yet.

In my opinion, because the left voters are becoming more vocal, it shuts others up. But everyone can talk at the ballot box.

The economy always comes into play. Perhaps a lot of people, myself included, on gransnet and UK wide, forgot that.
It has been a big turnaround that, on gransnet at least, wasnt spoken about much.

The NHS doesnt appear to have been that big an issue nationally?
Or was it just that other issues were bigger for the electorate[I am not talking about Scotland].

Wondering who would replace Ed Miliband if he does go could it be one of the Ladies for a change,we have the MP Angela Eagle as our MP and she has won her seat again she is excellent at what she does and a pity she is not a true blue (as I am ) if ever there was a person in the wrong party it is her she works so hard for this area just does not match my political ideals which is sad really.

What other things,whitewave

The Conservatives haven't made a come-back. They've been in government for the last five years hmm

petra Fri 08-May-15 09:20:38

POGS. Your post Re Andy Burnham. I can't print here what I would like to do to that man Re his attitude at the time of the Mid Staffs horror.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 09:20:12

BBC saying Ed Miliband is STANDING DOWN

whitewave Fri 08-May-15 09:19:40

jing almost certainly amongst other things.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 08-May-15 09:17:25

OMG! Foxhunting might come back! shock

POGS Fri 08-May-15 09:16:20

The prediction is Labour would have lost even if they held all their seats in Scotland.

Does that mean Ed Miliband might resign as leader?

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 08-May-15 09:11:41

I do feel sorry for Ed (M). I think he is probably a nice man personally.

gillybob Fri 08-May-15 09:09:19

Glad to hear it Scooter58 smile

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 08-May-15 09:08:13

The only thing that worries me now is the thought of an EU referendum. But perhaps the Great British Public are not so daft after all. All could still be well. sunshine

POGS Fri 08-May-15 09:03:42

Hmm 15 now a conservative gain at Derby North from Labour. Who'da thunk it.

FarNorth Fri 08-May-15 09:01:36

POGS, you're forgetting that the SNP didn't have any candidates out with Scotland.

whitewave Fri 08-May-15 09:01:18

Nothing is for ever

POGS Fri 08-May-15 09:00:31

Hmm. Con gain Derby North from Labour.

durhamjen Fri 08-May-15 09:00:21

Would PR mean that the SNP could have candidates in the whole of the UK?
Otherwise it would not be fair on the SNP.

rosesarered Fri 08-May-15 09:00:12

Kittylester, well said, I agree with you.Perhaps we have to make allowances though, as the left leaning G'netters are bound to be feeling very sore this morning.I hope they would be as gracious to us, if Ed Milliband had won,?

FarNorth Fri 08-May-15 09:00:11

Nasty, unnecessary, uncalled for? Yes, all those descriptions apply to jo1book's recent posts.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 08:59:11

There are still 16 seats to win for the conservatives, funny things happen.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 08:57:32

Well I guess if proportional representation came in then UKIP would be ahead of the SNP.
