Thought I would post this up for those of us who are hoping for the stamina to stay up!

Is it the suggestion, on this thread, that all those who voted SNP are without any political intelligence?

Not crediting the Scots with much. But then that's how it's been throughout history.

Surely there has to be more behind the massive vote than a confused opinion about independence?

Bristol has all female Conservative MPs, quite astonishing!

ninathenana Fri 08-May-15 07:35:52

I am 'gob smacked' at the results.

gillybob Fri 08-May-15 07:27:38

I'm not sure what to make of the SNP "landslide" confused

Why is it that only a short time ago the Scottish people voted against breaking away and then go on to overwhelming vote as they have?

I do hope the Scottish people get what they wish for. I hope that their "savior" doesn't turn out to be a monster in disguise.

Personally (and I hate saying this) I am not sure whether this vote is actually a vote for the hatred of England and not a vote for the love of Scotland.

Bogoff Fri 08-May-15 07:27:02

Is it my imagination or do we have a lot more female MP's than previously ?

Marmight Fri 08-May-15 07:19:15

sunshine for Westminster. moon for Scotland.
I am with you Crow and Bags. Interesting times ahead

A hung Parliament would be interesting. Come to think of it a hanged Parliament would be interesting too.

rubysong Fri 08-May-15 07:08:39

I stayed up until four am and DH woke up (and woke me up) at six so I saw quite a lot. I am disappointed with the BBC coverage. They showed very few of the declarations but were having the same discussions over and over and had too much technology. I'm fed up with the sight of hexagons.

thatbags Fri 08-May-15 06:44:16

With you, crow.

mollie65 Fri 08-May-15 06:36:07

good grin

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 06:33:00

Even more conservative if anything.

tanith Fri 08-May-15 06:29:20

Just checked if what was predicted last night has actually come true, looks like it has and I too am horrified at the thought of it.

Bogoff Fri 08-May-15 06:26:41

Crow, PM'd you.

FarNorth Fri 08-May-15 06:20:26

I don't understand your worries, Crow. I am horrified, tho, at the prospect of another Tory government.

FarNorth Fri 08-May-15 06:18:43

Don't agree with you, there, jo1.

jo1book Fri 08-May-15 06:13:02

Milliand and Balls on the ropes! There is a God!

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 06:12:56

What concerns you Crow?

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 06:10:41

During the night, a couple of people on the bbc election, are saying that they dont expect NS to call for a referendum in the next five years. I have forgotten why. Kirsty Wark was one pf the people who said that if I remember it all correctly.

Crow Fri 08-May-15 05:59:56

I am so sad. Scottish Nationalists are sweeping the board. That really really worries me, especially I am now on my own. Not sure I shall stay in Scotland. I know one Gransnet Grandma will be very pleased because she has worked very hard. I am happy for her but most certainly not for me. Heaven help us Scots, I expect another referendum. Blooming heck, that is my polite version.

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 05:59:19

I haven't heard one supporter anywhere including lots of people on tele of the conservatives.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 05:58:04

Lib Dems have done so badly I feel sorry for them to be honest, don't think they deserve it.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 05:54:21

Now saying that DC may get the 325.

Has his property owning stance worked?
Did him not joining in all the tv debates work?

The country sure doesnt think the same way as gransnet can seem.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 05:15:55

NC hinted at not being leader I think?

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 05:14:33

The figure of 316 has not changed all night I dont think.
My DH muttered something about them not needing the 325 or whatever to still be able to govern. That the 316 will be enough.
Is that right?

grannyactivist Fri 08-May-15 04:59:55

Nick Clegg holds on!
