Thought I would post this up for those of us who are hoping for the stamina to stay up!

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 04:55:08

Exactly.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 04:54:27

Still loads to come through yet and come later it still may not be decided.

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 04:50:05

Conservatives.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 04:46:28

Who?

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 04:44:41

They've not won yet.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 04:41:37

Flipping heck Conservative win, Vince Cable out.

Never saw that coming. She looked like a rabbit caught in a headlight but she gave a generous speech to Vince Cable

Nibbling biscuits of course, billie is fine! x

J52 Fri 08-May-15 04:30:24

Just got up to watch. Certainly looks like it's getting interesting now! Nibbling on M&S pecan and caramel billies, doing diet no good! x

Thanks for reply.

Woke up 15 mins ago, came down to watch results, very exciting. Must go back to bed soon though, people are coming to dinner this evening.

mcem Fri 08-May-15 04:12:15

Not on my personal agenda, POGS. I think our new mp's will have their hands full in Westminster fighting tory cuts for the benefit of the whole UK!
Lib Dem seat held in Orkney and Shetland. Wonder if Scotland's solo tory will go soon.
Oops! There goes Simon Hughes - lost to Labour.

Bogoff Fri 08-May-15 04:08:51

Just woken to catch up, sure looks like an eventful night. Nicola Sturgeon certainly has triumphed in Scotland, she was the most charismatic of all the campaigners (IMO of course) .

The BBC are about 10 minutes behind the ITV, results wise.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 03:53:42

I am currently watching ITV.
They have mentioned shy tories as to why the opinion polls and exit polls were so different.
I think they are probably right.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 03:51:05

Dare I ask the Scotland GN's how long before Scotland goes back to wanting an Independence vote.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 03:50:50

With everything going on, I think it is worth mentioning that the conservatives may still not get the 326 seats at least, that they require without having to have some sort of coalition.

durhamjen Fri 08-May-15 03:50:42

So not even you think the North East is important, soon. Labour are doing extremely well up here, thanks.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 03:47:55

So many holds!

Scooter58 Fri 08-May-15 03:40:00

Soontobe, yes I also noticed there are a lot of woman representing the SNP,another aspect of the new regime in Scotland. Also young people well represented.Good luck to them all as they begin their political journey.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 03:39:25

BBC are behind Sky with results, has anybody else noticed?

Galloway gone, one Labour win even I will cheer.

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 03:37:50

I've not sung yet!

mcem Fri 08-May-15 03:28:23

Gordon Brown's seat goes to 20 year-old SNP. Jim Murphie, Margaret Curran, Douglas Alexander gone too. SNP contingent will bring down the average age at Westminster.
Not just engaging young voters but electing them!

FarNorth Fri 08-May-15 03:27:33

Abuse of Jim Murphy on the campaign trail was hugely exaggerated in the press. Video showed it involved shouting only, by a very few people.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 03:24:14

I dont know all the MPs by a long way.

It must be a traumatic time for them.
