Not much insight at all into this area so hope for some enlightenment.

Sale of land near King's Cross Station in London will raise two-thirds of saving

There are lots of little cuts, slashes, I would say, to Transport for London, cycling cities fund, keeping train stations spruced up, etc., all adding up to the other third.
There is a more detailed list in the Guardian.

Do you have a link to the Guardian comments Jen. I feel I know very little about transport spending in general.
