Margaret Thatcher came to power in 1979, that's over 30 years ago I think. ?.

This question should separate the men from the boys, as the saying goes.

Right people, "gloves off".

On your marks, get set, go.....................

Predictable. confused?
I am amazed that you were able to predict that hardly anybody would post anything about Thatcher, politics, 1976 or even boxing gloves, and that if so, you CBA to initiate a non-thread.
Any other topics you'd like us to ignore?

Ana Fri 28-Aug-15 22:02:43

If the response was that predictable, why bother posting in the first place, Questiontime? grin

Ana Fri 28-Aug-15 22:08:32

Sorry, you'd already made that point Alea.

However, this thread has certainly separated the men from the boys...

Anya Fri 28-Aug-15 22:35:50

Predictable with hindsight wink

If no-one already has, I would like to refer the OP to this thread in which many opinions will be found. No need to recap.

If you predicted the posts that replied to you here, you must be a mind reader. Are you sure you read them all through?

Mrs T and plimsoles? What is the story, please?

(Mrs T - first woman prime minister, let's at least give her credit for that. Unfortunately she turned into a man later on!)

rosequartz Sat 29-Aug-15 11:16:20

NotTooOld - the plimsolls referred back to another equally daft thread by another probably rogue poster who wanted to ask about buying plimsolls for DS but only Vans were good enough for her DD (Hence my 'Vans' comment) whatever Vans are ...
Oh, don't get us started again ....

Anyone for tennis?

Charleygirl Sat 29-Aug-15 11:19:41

Yes please rosequartz absolutely anything but this.

trisher Sat 29-Aug-15 12:06:08

Thatcher, plimsolls and tennis add some strawberries and cream and it's a perfect English summer's day.- Predict that one Questiontime? Men and boys separated? Well off for lunch with the "girls"! (Sorry it's an expression I would never use! We are of course "ladies who lunch")

Alea Sat 29-Aug-15 12:08:57

Men from the boys?
Wheat from the chaff?
Sheep from the goats?

Sense from . . . ( oh stop it Alea, maybe someone felt withdrawal symptoms because of an absence of comments on MT on GN)
<sigh>

rosequartz Sat 29-Aug-15 15:07:05

Charleygirl if you fancy a game of tennis, we found some old racquets in the garage yesterday, and I have some strawberries if you bring the cream.
Of course, it might be more relaxing to sit back and watch Federer battle it out with Questiontime.

Federer for me every time wink
