He has not brought back the death penalty. He is beginning to fight a war. At last.
I’m a Pear/Apple - Part 5. Still going!!
Being asked for an honest opinion
This is Alex Salmond's comment on how Cameron is dealing with the migrant crisis.
www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/13642051.Alex_Salmond_says_David_Cameron_is__shaming_humanity__over_migration_crisis/
As shame in my countries response was what I have been feeling, I can only agree with him.
He has not brought back the death penalty. He is beginning to fight a war. At last.
It makes me very angry AB that you state the course of action taken by DC is tantamount to bringing back the death penalty. We are at war with these people for heaven's sake, in war situations enemies can expect to be taken out by stealth, and those young men who went off to Syria knew that would be a likely outcome for them, and if they are to be believed they actually embrace it
Look what Jihadi John did to Alan Hemming and the others he beheaded so callously, what a shame for Britain his family was ever given sanctuary in the UK. Alan Hemming was there to help the Syrian people what mercy was he shown. I do hope that we will learn anytime soon that he has also been taken out, the world will be a better place without him.
I agree with others who would like these people's citizenship revoked, if not for our sake, but for the way they treat the indigenous Syrian population who are suffering at their hands, their barbarism is unparalleled. Extraordinary brutal behaviour needs to be dealt with by extraordinary measures and these wont always fall into the usual remit.
TerriBull, Alan Hemming was advised not to travel there, he ignored government advice ,i suppose if you saw a sign at a bear pit saying danger keep out you would ignore it ?
Your anger is your problem sorry , I am posting my opinions ,we are not at war with Syria , dare say we will soon be , it's what America wants
I agree with taking refugee's but not all these migrants are refugees not by a long shot. How many are terrorists? I don't know but you can be sure many are.
Terribull, I agree with you and I'm not sure but I think I remember hearing on the news that Jihadi John was running for his life after his usefulness to IS had ended. I hope he was caught!!!
Shame on your country's response, Gracesgran? As Terribull says, we are at war with these people.
If you saw a child in danger in a bear pit would you keep out?
I suppose most people would, but there is always someone brave and willing to risk their life for others.
Perhaps you would call them foolish anniebach.
I for one applaud the brave charity workers taking help to those who need it in Syria.
Perhaps someone should start a new thread
'Well done David Cameron'
(I would, but going out now)
Some of these posts are just unbelievable.
I wish I could find what I posted on another thread and paste it on here about lies and subterfuge taking us into a war killing innocent people - that made me feel physically sick.
And whatever really happened to Dr David Kelly? A good man, but an inconvenience to some.
Unlike these murderous traitors.
rosequartz, why do you have such a problem with those who see things differently from you ?
why do you have such a problem with those who see things differently from you?
Really, annie??
Just pointing out facts and what I think about jumping into bear pits. Some people will do it and others won't.
If I find a viewpoint hard to believe am I allowed to say so? Oh, perhaps not.
Why is it anyone who disagrees or has a different viewpoint from some on here 'have a problem'?
The problem is not mine.
OK, perhaps I have got it now!!
Alan Hemming was advised not to go there, but he went anyway on humanitarian grounds to help people in need. Sadly, as a consequence he lost his life. A very brave man, a hero imo as are the others who have gone to do the same.
But you seem to think it was somehow his own fault he got killed.
The jihadis have gone there to murder people; they also know how dangerous it is (because of them!).
So I think it is their own fault if they get killed.
I really think you should start your 'Well done David Cameron' thread rosequartz; we can all start threads on things we wish to discuss.
However, "discuss" is the whole point of being on here so you may find some people disagree with you, go off topic in order to distract from what you wish to discuss, make fun of your views, etc., etc.
Anniebach
"If you saw a sign at a bear pit saying keep out would you ignore it"
At the start of the year we were being told that IS intended to infiltrate Europe in the thousands by pretending to be refugees to cause mayhem in Europe. I certainly don't choose to ignore that warning sign.
I am waiting for the media to revisit those reports but I won't hold my breath.
Do you believe that this is a feasible action for IS to be undertaking or is it another conspiracy theory in your view.
No rosequartz, I did not say it was his fault he was killed, it was a choice he made in full knowledge of the dangers
My comment on you having a problem was in response to you saying - some of these posts are unbelievable
POGS, i cannot think of any action by IS that is feasible .
If I ignored a bear pit warning it would be my choice , I assume it would be understood why I did it but I would not want the bears killed because i was on their territory
I would really love it if durhamjen could explain to me just HOW these terrorists could have been taken prisoner? I'm having a hard time trying to get my head around that scenario.....
These are people who do not take prisoners. They commit unspeakably violent crimes against innocent people.
No one has been arrested in this country for being part of the plot to carry out a terrorist attack this July because of lack of evidence to prosecute , how was there enough evidence to kill two men in Syria for being part of this plot yet not enough to arrest those they were plotting with ?
Those 2 British men who went to Syria to join IS committed treason and that is what happens to those who apparently were going to carry out unspeakable atrocities. They got what they deserved.
Ab we may not yet be officially at war with al-Assad, but any right minded person is at war with IS. And in war you do not stand back and wait for the other feller to shoot first.
So a conspiracy on the part of the government and the Secret Service then.AB
I just wonder how much danger people are in working to keep this country safe, whether that be here or overseas.
How can you bring an IS terrorist back to the UK to face a trial?
How can you go to parliament for permission to take action that requires immediate attention.?
How the hell could a Prime Minister say to the country
"Oh yes, we knew we were going to have an imminent terrorist attack, we are very sorry about the dead and wounded but we had to conform to procedure and we had to debate and make public all the relative intelligence information we had to satisfy parliamentary process and the general public who will not believe a word we say. We had no choice but disregard the welfare of anybody giving us the intelligence putting their life on the line as parliamentary process is paramount and takes precedent over the willful death of our citizens and those who are prepared to sacrifice their lives for us.
As I said the ability to protect and serve comes behind the popular need to go through parliamentary procedure so once again the government are very sorry and our hearts go out to those who have lost their loved ones (slaughtered) but it was not our fault , we did all we can you know'
One thing I know for sure had this country had a terror attack and the government knew it could have stopped it the same people who are shouting now would be the same ones who would be at the front of the queue shouting in the opposite direction.
One thing is a blessing we will never know as it didn't happen thanks to those who are prepared to go the extra mile to protect us.
Much danger .POGS , much danger
Here! Here POGS.
And if this plot had succeeded would you be sure enough of your opinions to say to the bereaved and injured " well this is how a democracy works, David Cameron might have known about the planned attack weeks ago, but he had to put it to Parliament and get their approval. Sorry for your loss of course, but them's the rules"
There are some people on here who need a reality check IMO.
That was to Anniebach, durhamjen and anyone else who thinks that the deaths of two terrorists is worth losing a wink of sleep over.
The first duty of our Government is to protect our country and look after our law abiding citizens. POGS you are so right.
but I would not want the bears killed because i was on their territory
One of the terrorists was from Cardiff, the other from Aberdeen, not on their own territory.
