This did amuse me. When the floods hit the South and Cameron visited the area there was much in the press about his £60+ wellies, so for the floods this week he turned up in wellies from Asda , expect Sam can popped them in her shopping trolley

In a letter to the EU’s 28 leaders, Donald Tusk says the prime minister has tabled some difficult demands that cannot be agreed in time for the European council next week.

Tusk cites the prime minister’s proposal to ban EU migrants from claiming in-work benefits for four years as the most troublesome UK demand."

I am pleased the EU hasn't caved in over this. However, Cameron says that one way round it is to stop UK youths from claiming for four years so there is no discrimination. What? They are at school until they are 18 now. No claiming in work benefits until they are 22?

Unfortunately there are some politicians (of all parties) who only start to lend their support to something or someone when they feel that public opinion is moving in that direction or is being successfully "nudged" in that direction.
