I was watching the news last night and saw a vigil taking place where tea light candles were being lit. For some reason it made me smile to see one of those ignition things you can get for gas cookers being used instead of matches. The trivia that crosses your mind.

Oh what are we supposed to do then?
I suppose that some people actually get out there and help and don't talk about it or signal about it. Perhaps that is actual virtue, I don't know, would that be it?

Yes. I thought they were Community Support Officers, and I've seen a few of those, but these ones definitely had Civil on their shoulders.
Maybe it's just something in Durham.

Yes, Granny23, I have never understood why nobody has challenged him on that figure of seven failed terrorist attacks.

This morning when I took my granddaughter to school, there were two civil support officers outside the school, dressed in smart black uniforms with hats and holsters for their mobiles on their belts.
My grandson was convinced they had guns. Had a hard job convincing him that they did not have guns and were not allowed to carry guns just outside a school to stop drivers parking in the wrong places. They definitely looked more scary than traffic wardens.
