angry

Seven children, youngest 20 days old, drowned.

Strange isn't it, that the men are the ones who manage to stay alive. I wonder how much they do to save their children, or are they too busy saving themselves?

Those children didn't ask to be put on that boat. We've pussy footed round these men too often.

here

Yes I do know Jingle, just questioning how stopping Muslims from entering France would have save the victims from the killings

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 11-Dec-15 17:56:42

ab you know that Islam is a religion, not a nationality.

mcem Fri 11-Dec-15 17:55:47

marmark your posts clearly show you're in the minority. Not only do I find your opinions impossible to accept but I also find your last 2 posts totally indecipherable.
Did you actually read them before posting?

Anniebach Fri 11-Dec-15 17:53:49

Yet those who carried out the killings in Paris were French

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 11-Dec-15 17:51:44

Decent not don't.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 11-Dec-15 17:50:43

I think it's a very understandable point of view. You can't get away from he fact that these terrorists do come from countries where Islam is predominant, and they do call themselves Muslims. A lot of people feel the same as marmark.

Me, I just don't know. We could be letting potential dangerous people into the country. Along with a lot of perfectly don't people.

But that's not what this thread is about.

Marmark1 Fri 11-Dec-15 17:06:08

Incidentally,in Your opinion ludicrous. In My opinion the ludicrous alternatives are Not working.
But we can ignore all that.

Marmark1 Fri 11-Dec-15 16:55:59

Key words,
Your entitled to your opinion.I suppose that must also mean your entitled to ridicule them.If you must resort to such a response, that's your right,I shan't join you.

Iam64 Fri 11-Dec-15 15:32:07

You're entitled to your opinion Marmark, I'm relieved that no one in our government is suggesting such a ludicrous response to the tragedies unfolding in various parts of the world.

rosesarered Fri 11-Dec-15 10:53:09

There are some sensible, and some extremely daft remarks on here about this very sad situation of refugees and sea crossings ( I leave you to make your mind up about which is which.)

rosesarered Fri 11-Dec-15 10:50:54

Alea you should never have promised us the Pollyanna/ Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm stuff! knew you would regret it.

Alea Fri 11-Dec-15 10:26:08

Spirit of love and toleration eh, Marmark1?
Trumping Trump, blimey. tchshock

Anniebach Fri 11-Dec-15 10:15:15

I agree Jingle and I do understand your anger, I share it , but against different people

annodomini Fri 11-Dec-15 10:13:44

The real criminals are the people smugglers who take migrants' money for unseaworthy boats and tell them that they don't need life jackets because the boats are safe.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 11-Dec-15 10:10:49

I know. But I think this thread has run its course now. smile

Anniebach Fri 11-Dec-15 10:05:07

Jingle , no one wants a child to die , but do we want them in those camps for years ? Must be a living hell .

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 11-Dec-15 09:40:52

I would simply make it illegal to take a child on one of those boats. That's all.

Anniebach Fri 11-Dec-15 09:37:04

Highly intelligent people can be extremely stupid

Marmark1 Fri 11-Dec-15 08:40:38

Well! I'm afraid I would go one further than Trump, and say we must stop all immigrants until this is all sorted out.Not only for us,but for them as well.If they're not intelligent enough to know how stupid they are being taking such risks, then they need control.Surely all the brains in the world can come to some sensible solution.

Ana Thu 10-Dec-15 21:26:33

And it doesn't appear that jingl understood what it meant either, judging by her post of 18.42. Never mind.

rosequartz Thu 10-Dec-15 21:17:54

I was speaking directly to Jingle
Hardly a private conversation on a public forum rosequartz
even more confused now

rosequartz Thu 10-Dec-15 21:01:13

I didn't ask you to understand Rosequartz, I was speaking directly to Jingle
Oh, as a post on a thread where all are participating it was a bit mystifying confused but perhaps jingls understands what you mean.
Sorry to interrupt a private conversation smile
