And is the opinion of the people of Oxfordshire the same as that of the people of Greater London, or Teeside, or Devon, where a far greater number of Virgincare's facilities are situated? There only seem to be a few in Oxfordshire, despite it being Cameron's homeland. What is it about Oxfordshire that makes it so special to some posters?

Can't help sorry, Oxfordshire holds no interest for me , I think the university having the Bodleian Libraries is special but would be just as special no matter the county

I guess Oxfordshire matters because some of the population elected our chubby-faced PM. Who was recently mystified as to why a police station was being closed. And was remonstrating with the leader of the local council about the cutbacks in LA services. Did he never notice what Osborne was up to?

As PM he knew of the effect of the cut backs, this fuss he made could only be to impress his constituency that he was acting for it's good, just a big act , he was in PR and never misses a chance to put his talent ! Into action .

This is not a left-wing rag, I do not think. In fact, being a local paper, it's probably owned by that American that owns the South Wales paper.
The same paper also has a link to the letters written by Cameron and the council response. If you want to read them and see what he really said, that is, and find out how he was being hypocritical.

Cameron is the MP for Witney, so as that, may write to councils about their decision making and the way they spend money, just as Corbyn may do with Islington.
This preoccupation with Oxfordshire has now reached laughable proportions for all us Gnetters who live there, from left leaners on this thread.

as a left winger who lives in a Welsh National Park, from my sofa I can look to my left and see a beautiful green valley, to my right the most beautiful mountain range , at the bottom of my garden a river where swans glide around , country lanes, green fields . Envy? not this rabid left winger

People calling for more social justice, for a fairer distribution of wealth are often accused of envy. Except when they are well off. Then they are accused of being hypocritical or champagne socialists or "virtue signallers". It's a method of drawing attention away from troublesome issues by seeking to discredit the people who raise them.
