He was in Durham for only a short while but he struck me as a very decent man. I think he is able to say that without being accused of racism because of who he is.

Yes, good for the ABC for saying what he did. He was not criticising refugees, in fact he spoke critically about Cameron's approach. He is though, correct in saying that people need to be able to express fears about the impact on society and services of what is the biggest movement of people, certainly in my lifetime.

Yes, he is right. Seems a straightforward sort of bloke, not afraid to say what he thinks. Good for him.

I think he's absolutely right. Immigration, who ever the immigrants are has got to be properly discussed without people being accused of racism. Making it a taboo subject is quite ridiculous, and detrimental to the poor souls concerned.

I'm sure most of you have read in the news what Justin Welby has to say about immigration.
I've just read this quote on another Forum, it's from George Orwell.
