Something positive about this government

I thought it might be a good exercise to list the successful and positive things this government has achieved, as I am struggling at the moment to feel anything but utterly gloomy.

I will get back with a contribution to the list once I can think of something.

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:07:59

Jane just give up, it is not worth it. So far I have read fabrications about my parents, been abused, been accused of saying a particular person abused me (I didn't), asked to apologise for what they said?!?. The same person said I didn't appreciate their humour but won't say what was supposed to be funny. In the face of all that it seems to be a waste of time communicating as some clearly say whatever comes into their head sad. Actually I feel rather sorry for someone who has to do that, must have a very unhappy life.

Apologies to posters and moderators

Nonnie you claimed I had an abusive post removed, this is so not true , unless you were accusing another poster, if so I apologise, but there has not been a post deleted on this thread by me or anyone and if you dud mean. E I do ask for an apology, obey , thank you

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:21:59

Anyone read David Law s book please?

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:26:14

AB check the facts before making all these daft claims. Everything I have said is totally true and you have claimed a load of untruths about me. If you don't have the attention span to check then just give up and stop reiterating such rubbish.

Where in the rules is anyone given permission to command "obey"? Such * arrogance!

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:29:44

I apologise for the word I ey, I didn't type it. Will you please explain who had an sbusive post removed ?

daphnedill Sun 20-Mar-16 17:31:37

Nonnie, I haven't a clue what you're talking about. I've just scrolled back through about five pages of this thread and I can't see anything. I've been doing computer work all day and have been popping in here every time I've been bored (quite often) and didn't see anything either. I'm afraid I think YOU have been very rude.

This is just how the government seems to be behaving at the moment! Pah!

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:39:06

My iPad has developed a gremlin , I am sorry

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:39:38

daphne a post has been removed and everything else I have said is also true.

I'm sorry you think I have been rude, I have simply made it clear that what someone has claimed about me is untrue. Someone said I should stand up for my points and that is exactly what I am doing rather than lying down and accepting false claims. If standing up to such things is rude then I am guilty but I have been asked to apologise for telling the truth and I have been told to obey, don't you think that is rude? If not then I think it possible you are as blinkered as AB.

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:41:05

AB, yes I will when you retract the things you have made up about me.

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:42:10

Actually AB, no I won't, you look back over the thread and find it yourself, why should I do it for you when you can do it as easily as I can?

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:43:36

Nonnie, I haven't the foggiest what I said that has upset you, if I ever cause upset I always apologise

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:44:27

Dear god, I have looked twice Nonnie, no post has been removed

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:47:17

AB, then you clearly haven't looked properly, attention to detail is needed.

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:51:14

I will ask the moderators, I am not looking a third time, I thought if a post was removed the poster received a notice from HQ

Nonnie Sun 20-Mar-16 17:55:21

Your knowledge of post being removed is greater than mine.

Are you also going to ask them about my parents and my missing sense of humour or just fess up and apologise for the first and answer the question about the second?

Plenty of time, I'm off now.

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 17:59:26

I said we didn't share the same sense of humour, has that been removed? That wasn't abusive

durhamjen Sun 20-Mar-16 18:06:31

To save anyone looking any further, it might have been one of mine on page three. I do not know why Nonnie could not just say so; perhaps she cannot bring herself to mention my name. Although she obviously reported it to HQ.
I was probably very rude because she had asked if anybody knew any disabled people who had had money taken off them.
I cannot remember my exact words but I am not going to apologise for them, because they were true.
The two posts following the deletion have been kept on so obviously the links to disability websites showing that people have had money taken away from them, and have died because of it, are acceptable to HQ.
Thank heavens for that.
Haven't had any notification from HQ to say why it was deleted. The last time that happened it was reinstated on the Monday.

I have had an enjoyable afternoon watching my youngest granddaughter dancing, and am now revived enough to get back to the fray.
Pleased to see that I am not the only one who dislikes veiled comments.

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 18:11:38

Jen, I didn't know, I am sorry, thank you for clearing it up, it could have been settled if Nonnie had just said it wasn't me. Oh well here goes

Nonnie I apologise that I made an error in thinking you were referring to me having a post removed. No more to say to you.

daphnedill Sun 20-Mar-16 18:12:26

I have just been through this whole thread for the second time. The only post which has been shown as deleted was one by 'durhamjen'. Do the mods delete post without declaring that they've deleted them? What I have seen is some posters who appear to have misunderstood posts or to have some kind of victim syndrome. I'm a relatively new poster (not a troll, as somebody called me) and it seems that sniping and snide, personal remarks are quite common, which is a pity.

Shame you've gone, Nonnie. I am none the wiser about your parents or your sense of humour.

SO, anybody care to summarise the thread so far? I've been distracted from the 'positives' (I guess there were some...errrmmm...gay marriage, plastic bags, tampons...that'll go down well in future history books).

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 18:13:14

Jen I would not have kept rabbiting on about it if I had known, you never post sbusive posts anyway

durhamjen Sun 20-Mar-16 18:42:30

Thanks, Annie. Shame, really. Do you realise how many posts there have been on this - and no, I haven't counted them.
Much more important to discuss the government's problems and the fact they are taking money away from the disabled.

whitewave Sun 20-Mar-16 18:48:18

Well now we have all apologised including me. Back to normal hopefully!

Anniebach Sun 20-Mar-16 19:08:57

Well not all have apologised but hey ho, good to get back on topic

trisher Sun 20-Mar-16 19:37:21

11 pages and little or nothing positive about the government- must indicate something.

whitewave Sun 20-Mar-16 19:41:37

I think it is absolutely astounding that none of us have come up with a light bulb moment. There is nothing - I am really genuinly amazed.
