If there was an election tomorrow, would you vote the same way ?

pompa Fri 01-Apr-16 22:20:40

Yes - even more convinced I voted correctly.

Lyndylou Fri 01-Apr-16 22:25:30

Yes - absolutely. But as the OH and I are polar opposites when it comes to politics, I do sometimes wonder why we bother, we just cancel each other out!

merlotgran Fri 01-Apr-16 22:26:13

Yes.

lynnie1 Fri 01-Apr-16 22:28:40

I absolutely would too

Anniebach Fri 01-Apr-16 22:48:38

Yes, as I will for the Wales election next month

mollie Sat 02-Apr-16 03:38:12

Not sure ... I voted for the best option at the time but there have been changes to personnel and I'd like to give others a chance. I'm back to my old question: do you vote for the party or the local individual?

I'm hoping that a new version of the sdp emerges after the referendum but, failing that, I will vote the same way as last time.

Alima Sat 02-Apr-16 07:14:22

Yes I would, I can see no alternative.

nightowl Sat 02-Apr-16 07:27:22

I wasn't too sure about my vote at the last election; in fact I agonised in the booth for quite a few minutes. But I am now absolutely convinced I voted the right way and would do the same again without a doubt.

NfkDumpling Sat 02-Apr-16 07:30:18

Yes, definitely, even more convinced.

Anya Sat 02-Apr-16 07:31:38

I don't know. I voted Labour but I'm not happy with the way it's being directed at the moment, especially not by the likes of McDonnell, Thornberry and Abbott.

I was horrified by the sacking of Pat McFadden and Michael Dugher from the Shadow Cabinet.

hildajenniJ Sat 02-Apr-16 09:06:18

Yes. I voted for the man, not the party. I thought he would do a good job, based on his previous stint as our MP.

Most of these posts don't tell us anything ... Did the OP want people to nail their political colours? The unstated question seems to be 'Did you vote the Conservatives in and if so, are you now regretting it?'

We often hear that we get the government we deserve. I didn't vote for this government and I feel they really are beginning to show their true, unethical, colours. I hope the electorate who couldn't be bothered to vote last time are waking up as I see no easy way of shifting them. If the current disabilities vs cuts in capitol gains tax had occurred just prior to an election they would be in danger of being voted out. We have yet to absorb the latest round of chnages to pensions, NI contributions etc. The minimum wage for over 25s means that people like my 27 year old son will have even less chance of finding work when cheaper labour is readily available. We have some very painful years ahead as they push on with policies that will further polarise the haves and have nots in our society - and then with a year to go before the next election they will start to provide sweeteners. People have very short memories.

There, colours nailed.

They will get back in, add together the sweetners, the grey vote, the reduction of MP's, mostly safe labour seats, the funding from the very wealthy to fund their campaign and a Tory press , and what they have done now is just a taster of what harm they will do come winning in 2020

Badenkate Sun 03-Apr-16 08:38:19

Absolutely! I voted Labour even though this is a rural highly Tory constituency- a monkey with a blue rosette would get in here. I could never vote for the Tories.
I also voted for Jeremy Corbyn in the leadership election as did most of the Labour members I know in this area and we still support his attempts to create a fairer Britain.

Truly depressing. And if you think you are a 'winner' under this government, but your GS will need state education, ... well, they have turned it into a business and the damage is now becoming irreversible. Your dear GCs are now financial units in a system that is not there to serve the child, but the profit margins of those who run the academies. The biggest lie in education is that all academies are success stories.

I had better stop ...
