But it's very much across the parties (apart from UKIP who are all outers obviously)

Well the idea is that the outers would take over then lose and have to resign and wed be then shot of the lot of them. All a bit far fetched but we can dream

No, I'm not sure either; would they only resign if there was a vote of no confidence in them; if they were to resign and there is no Government, ie we are awaiting a General Election, would a referendum called by the Government previously in fact be legal and could it go ahead? Probably not.

I will repeat what I said on another thread.

I was reading today that there is a General feel that Cameron etc are mishandling so much at the moment that the in vote may well be lost as a result of reaction to all the pigs ear. So people are saying that it might be better if they resign before the election in order to not muddy the waters.
I'm not sure on this one but can see what they are getting at.

Same thing happened during the Scottish Referendum. Westminster issued 'propaganda' for the 'NO' campaign to every household in Scotland, at UK wide taxpayers expense.

The subject's been raised on other threads, and yes as you say petra it's not done the Remain campaign any favours, especially now there's all this controversy about alleged tax avoidance!

petra Fri 08-Apr-16 22:18:01

There are a lot of people furious over this. It hasn't done the 'stay' Campaign any favours.

Maybe would should suggest Mr. Cameron pays for it out of his ill gotten gains grin

Good idea Luckygirl I might just join you in that.

Am I alone in being appalled that £9 million of our money is to be spent on pro-EU leaflets for every house on behalf of the government? Where is the £9 million for the leave campaign? This is so undemocratic.

I plan to send mine back to the PM at No 10.
