Jalima Mon 13-Jun-16 21:21:58

I don't think I want to know, Gracesgran!

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 21:21:28

Are you? Why?

Gracesgran Mon 13-Jun-16 21:15:19

Jalima I could direct you to another forum that would make you hair curl. There are a large number - not all - of leavers who are voting for exactly that. I believe those posting on here say what they mean and I am sure the people on there do too.

Trying to stop free speech again roses.

Ana Mon 13-Jun-16 21:02:52

No such luck - someone will just start another thread...sigh

Jalima Mon 13-Jun-16 21:00:53

Does anyone know the answer to this:

If you have a postal vote, can you deliver it to the poll station the same as you would a vote in a local or general election? Or does it have to be posted?

Jalima Mon 13-Jun-16 20:59:29

or go off and have a G&T and fall asleep

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:59:14

Exactly Jalima

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:58:10

I think that is the goal Jess the 1000 posts. Then we can all die happy.grin

Never mind the leavers who want to stop immigration
I don't think that most do, though Gracesgran, why is that myth constantly reiterated? It is just not true.

As Jacob R-M said last night, he has been fighting two cases in his constituency, trying to stop people being deported. One an Indonesian woman, the other a very heavily pregnant New Zealand woman. Had they been from the EU they would be allowed to stay.
Alex Salmond has said the same, he is fighting for two families in Scotland to be allowed to stay (Canadian and Australian).
It is the abandonment of people like these in favour of EU migrants that upsets me and many others.

JessM Mon 13-Jun-16 20:54:32

Very boring bickering folks - how far away from 1000 posts is this thread? Is it going to drop off the cliff soon?

Jalima Mon 13-Jun-16 20:52:55

So you think that it's ok for Farage to use the tragedy in Orlando in this way then?
I thought I could get confused easily but even I could see that roses said nothing of the sort

Gracesgran Mon 13-Jun-16 20:52:48

Tegan there was something about tweets being deleted too after complaints. I'm afraid Fargage is cut very much from the same block as Trump who has made some appalling remarks about the family of the gunman. Never mind the leavers who want to stop immigration (and by default emigration) we should now be expecting a return of families who emigrated years ago should "The Donald" decide the USA should no have invited them in the first place. I can imagine Farage having a think about that one.

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:50:24

My post was a simple statement of fact...that tactics of any kind are being used by both sides,to put over their own point of view, Muslim terrorist acts, pensioners losing any increases and so on and so on.

Tegan Mon 13-Jun-16 20:38:07

So you think that it's ok for Farage to use the tragedy in Orlando in this way then? I think it's disgusting and, as he was made to take it down, I'd assume that most people agreed.

Jalima Mon 13-Jun-16 20:37:44

I had some rose, roses thank you
A gin would send me to sleep on top of that grin

It seems to be football o'clock (boring)

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:36:16

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:35:06

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:34:41

Oh yes, everyone is attacking everyone all right, as D day approaches.

Jalima Mon 13-Jun-16 20:34:34

Oh, thank you Ana confused got it wrong again!

Anyone can start any thread, surely, as long as it is within the rules. The OP can't ban other people from joining in, I suppose it's just that the OP may think the thread is of no interest to some people.

Tim Farron attacks Farage poster over Orlando atrocity

rosesarered Mon 13-Jun-16 20:30:41

I have noticed the 'outpourings' of some of the Remain people, come to that, accusing the Leavers of not caring about their children and DGC ( actually, it reminded me of the ad on tv, with Topcat saying 'think of the children!' cue violins.)
Also more or less saying that they must only have half a brain between them etc etc.
Bad enough when the politicians and celebs do it, let alone on Gransnet!
Sunshine and smiles all round.???????????
